Post-School

Fast forward a few months to October 2013 and we see the early shaping of what will become The Clays.

Again, myself and Jasper form the bass/drums combo, but this time, we have Tom Butler on lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Having explored thrash metal and jazz fusion so far, we thought it was about time we explored the psychedelia route. Tom had a couple of song ideas pre-written for us, so we began work on those straight away, under the name ‘The Aztecs.’ Shortly after grouping, a good friend of mine, Tobe Okoye expressed an interest in forming a Rock & Roll band that he wanted to call “The Grand Affair.” He delivered the pitch and I was instantly hooked. So, I agreed and after mentioning it to Jasper, he seemed to be up for it as well. TO BE CONTINUED..
